Yo soy un maestro que quiere mover a Latin America en uno o dos anos. Hello, friend. So here we are, trapped in the world of online dating. A world I am thinking of exiting soon. About my life contours--I plan to retire in the next year or two, maybe the next 12 months. Then I will travel the world. Hopefully, that is where you come in! Here is a quote I find inspiring: “Believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.” --Rainer Maria Rilke. I am an animal lover, a person lover (a humanist). I have dogs (and used to have cats, but no more) I believe all people have rights and deserve love and good treatment. If you are one of those people who want to blame the poor and misfortunate for their woes, we are not a match. No Trumpers or Climate Change Deniers please. Vital data people often ask for: I teach as a profession; I live alone with my two large dogs. My personality and values drive a central element in my life: I support everyone in my life that I can. I believe in supporting others and being good to people in our daily sphere. I had been housing my mother in my home; however, I had to move her to a hospital for her own care and because I would be irresponsible otherwise. I am close to her; I see her often; I manage her affairs and love her completely. I love watching: movies, theatre, opera, musicals, and even ballet or performance dance. I was in an opera once. I danced in a salsa show once also. Due to an injury, I am not dancing now but hope to in the future. I used to hike a lot, hoping to return to that also. I believe the earth is sacred, women are sacred, children are sacred. I always wanted children but I feel it is past my time. If someone else has kids--I Love Kids and am open to possibilities definitely. I am more spiritual than religious; I consider how we treat others and a belief in the value of all to be the highest spirituality. (And I recall that is part of one of the two most important Commandments) I do go to church once in awhile. I believe that God cares more about how I love and care for others than he does about me going to church--but that is my belief. As for career, I teach in a low-income neighborhood and many times I am the first teacher that a student has had a good relationship with. I treasure them, the relationships, and the life that comes from working with children. Most people, unfortunately, do not obtain the joy and meaning from going to work that I do. I honestly make the world a better place for some, and for this I am extremely lucky. I do want to increase the level of care I show to those around me, those in my life. Furthermore, caring about less fortunate people is a big part of my soul's energy. At night time, I don a cape and search Gotham for maidens in distress, lost puppies, and cats stuck in trees--you know, serious emergencies. Another quote: "I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.” --Rainer Maria Rilke
