Describe yourself and your ideal match. Probably the most difficult thing a person can do, especially when I was married and happy with my life. I never even thought about going out with other women or dating. But last year my wife of 21 years, who never smoked a single cigarette in her life, passed away from lung cancer at the age of 53. I never knew I could feel so much pain and still live, my heart has been shattered and feels so empty. While time helps heal all wounds, I know my heart will never fully recover. But to heal you must take the next step even if you don’t think you are ready. So I guess it’s time to talk about what you want in a soulmate. A soulmate is someone you can have a deep abiding love for just as they are. A soulmate is someone you can trust with your deepest secrets, thoughts, fears and wishes. A soulmate is someone you can be honest with, first to yourself as well as to your partner. A soulmate is someone you can encourage and support in a positive way to reaching new heights. A soulmate is someone that just by taking your hand and holding it makes your body tingle. While it is true that no one is perfect, you should try to be the best you can be. These are the very simple yet very difficult things it takes to fill a heart, and I want to have my heart filled once more. And whatever you do remember to never take anyone or anything for granted. My wife often told me I was very special and the most important person she knew, but actually I feel I am quite ordinary. Yes while some sit and watch history on TV I have helped, in a small way, make history. By serving in the US Military most of my adult life I have tried to make the world a better place for my family, friends and everyone, just as all military members do. I am still serving in the US Air Force Reserve as a crew chief working on airplanes. Even though a part time job it has fulltime satisfaction. My military career has given me the opportunity to see and do so many great things and help so many people there is not room to cover it all. Yes while some sit and watch the travel channel I have circled the globe a half dozen times. I love to travel, between my business and my military career I have seen so much of the world. From the canals of Venice to the Panama Canal, from the deserts of Saudi Arabia to the glaciers of Glacier Natl. Park, from the Tower Of London to the Imperial Palace in Japan and many, many more. The book "1000 Places To See Before You Die" is my unofficial bible and I am always ready to see something new. Yes while some sit and dream of working for themselves I have my own business. It is not going to make me rich but I have more than I need. But having a business is a lot more demanding than a job, requiring sacrifice and hard work. But I like what I do and it has rewards that exceed money alone. Yes while some sit and wonder what life is about, I know it’s about what we leave behind. My late wife and I have a great son who has a beautiful wife and two happy children. Long after me and my wife have turned to dust our legacy will live on. I am here for the once and future dream, the dream I had and want again. I want the movie version, a woman that loves me and is ready to give up everything to ride off into the sunset and live happily everafter.
